I began taking lessons from Kristi in the fall of 2023 and have thoroughly enjoyed them.
Historically, I have not been very good about practicing regularly. Kristi does not place any
pressure on me to do a certain amount of practice each day. However, under Kristi’s tutelage, I
find myself practicing and enjoying it more. I believe it is due to the fact that the practice pieces
are not lengthy and it is easy to do them multiple times. Additionally, on those occasions when
I have not been able to practice as I would have wanted, she is not judgmental and recognizes
that life happens. Kristi has taught me several “tricks” to get through difficult pieces that are
very effective. In addition to music in the program in which she has me working, Kristi is also
open to helping me learn to play popular pieces that I have always wanted to play. She truly
makes learning to play music fun and enjoyable!
